Hello all,

Recently my galaxis IQg matrix broke. At first it stopped working properly, now it doesn't work anymore at all.

If I boot the device somethimes I get the "NoSF" error msg on the screen and sometimes I only see " - ".

I already tried to connect the receiver to the pc using a rs232 and null modem cable but this doesn't work. I don't see anything in hyperterminal.

I also opened the box but I can't see any visual damage.

If anybody has a clue please help out. All answers are welcome in German or English. My German reading skill are more the enough, writing is a bit more time consuming.

You're right, I was simply using a bad cable. It's because this cable needs to be male-female and those cables are straight.

So I figured to get on the box via hyperterminal now. If I connect I get this:

Waiting for download using 1K-xmodem.

If I try to send a boot file via 1K Xmodem he says something like "maximum error's reached".

I also tryed PL2.7 but I still can't connect to the device with that software.

So what should be my next step?

Hello all,

I still didn't manage to get my problem solved. I was trying to upload a new bootloader bootsr310.bin but it seems that this didn't really work as it should.

Now when I boot the device, on the device itself I only see "----" via hyperterminal or PL2.7 I get the following error msg:

ERROR: SendI2cMsg(busy)!! at 70
serial Display

Could anybody help me out?

After a few months I'm trying to pick this up again.

Nowbody has any idea how to solve this? The facts aren't changed.

Deine Flash Speicher sind defekt. Du mußt die Flash austauschen und dann den Bootloder über Jtag flashen.

The Flash is SMD soldered.

The Flash is not simple to buy. They are expensive. see:

If you want I have still some Flash here? I recommend a soldering station with hot air.
