Download the software into the receiver and erase all data and the memory
(full Factory Reset)
- Photo album added
- East-West limit menu added
- Improved positioner behaviour
- Skip forward and skip backward key on the RCU activated for MP3 mode
More detailed information about new features:
- New languages added:
Spanish, Italian, Polish, Greek, Swedish and Serbian-Croatian.
- Group and sort behaviour
The Grouping and Sorting settings in the channel list are remembered in EchoNAV2.0.
This means that any grouping or sorting applied in the channel list will remain active until
changed. To aid the user in determining whether he has a Grouping or Sorting option
selected we have placed an icon on the InfoBanner to indicate this.
This icon will change depending on whether you have selected the All List,
Current Satellite list, a favorite list or if Grouping/Sorting is selected.
The user therefore can see in a glance what the status is.
Please be aware that you can get empty lists if the group/sort setting gives no results.
- Channel information
For certain customers it is important to be able to call up additional channel information
when zapping. This is now possible in EchoNAV2.0 by pressing the ‘I’ key three times
(once to show the InfoBanner, a second time to show the extended EPG information, and the third
time to show the additional channel information
- Manual local oscillator entry
In EchoNAV2.0 you can enter a LO frequency directly when creating a User LNB.
- EPG
In EchoNAV2.0 the start and stop time is shown in the extended EPG information screen
(press ‘i’ key twice while watching a channel). This is especially helpful when scrolling
through multiple day scheduled EPG information.
- Save changes pop-up
In EchoNAV2.0 after making changes in the channel list (move, lock, delete, hide, volume, rename, etc.) you are prompted to confirm these changes. In some cases if users would “play†with the software and unknowingly for instance delete a channel, it was previously not possible to undo these changes.
In EchoNAV2.0 you are prompted to confirm these changes before they become permanent.
- Faster “Move†Functionality in Channel Lists
- Direct channel number entry
During a Move you can enter the channel number where the selected channel should be placed.
- Recall after Move
After dropping a channel in its new place you can press the Recall key to jump back to the spot in the list where you came from. This allows you to quickly jump back and forth between for instance the end of the list and the beginning of the list when moving channels.
- Set East/West Limit Menu
We have included a new menu under the Installation menu for setting East/West limits.
This allows the user to move the limits after the receiver has been set up.
- Edit functions separated
In EchoNAV2.0 we have separated the various editing functions.
In the previous software version when you select Move for instance, you would also be shown the lock and delete options at the same time.
In EchoNAV2.0 you only see the selected Edit function (only Move for instance).
We feel this is less daunting to the user and it also enhances speed in certain instances.
- Photo album added:
With the mode selection (red key) you can access the photo-album.
You can only download the photo's onto the hard disk from a PC with use of the dedicated
USB Loader which is part of this beta-software package. (Supported extensions are BMP and JPG)
You can select a photo from the list with the OK key, skip forward key >| gives the next photo,
skip backward |< gives the previous photo and play shows them automatically with a certain interval.
With the InfoBanner in view, you can access the special menu with the MENU key (same as within the DVR mode).
- Indexes:
In the DVR-mode you can set indexes in a DVR-recording. These indexes are now shown in the progress bar which is available in the InfoBanner.
When you set more then one index per event you can move quickly to teh next index with the skip forward >| or skip backward |< key on the remote control unit.
When you leave a running DVR recording, the software adds automatically an index which is called 'last played', so you can easily continue to view a next time.
Keep in mind that this index is erased automatically when you leave another recording.
When you have any comments, please send your comments to
